Inside draw is massive at Chester in sprints. Find a half decent horse in the first 4 stalls and you have a decent chance

Backing nil nil draws - anyone do this or looked at the stats around this?
I have found this to be quite profitable over the last two seasons. Seems that people naturally expect goals and overall, the odds on 0-0 are slightly more generous than they should be.
Premier league and Championship games have done well for me here. Where it doesn't seem to work well is Champions League games - there always seem to be goals - maybe because the standard of forward play is higher overall, whilst the defending standard is not similarly elevated.
Interested in people's thoughts.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Not 0-0 draws but someone I knew used to back nearly every game on a Saturday coupon for 3-3, it used to pay about 80/1 a long time ago. If 1 game ended up 3 all he was about £20 up, 2 he was happy, 3 games or more he was ecstatic.
The odds aren't so good on that score any more.

Balhamite
I used to do quite a bit of correct score backing on the exchange, usually on 2-1/1-2 (sometimes with a small cover on under 1.5 goals and/or 3-0/0-3)
The good thing about the scorelines is that you can look to make profit during play and close off the trade if it goes to 1-1 or 2-0/0-2 with about half hour to go.
As with anything like this, it's all to do with match selection and criteria.

Re: Official Betting Thread
Hopefully people got on Forest Ranger! Shame he ended up being a day-saver at the start with my other selections not great but hey ho, onto the next one.
Excellent racing tomorrow and I've focused on some of the better races at Haydock (nice mixed card) and Ascot (Victoria Cup day).
Haydock 2.00 - Monbeg Theatre
Ascot 2.50 - God Given
Haydock 3.10 - Optimus Prime
Ascot 4.00 - Silent Attack
Haycok 5.25 - Rocklander
All of these are EW kind of prices (but I think they all stand a good chance), so take your fancy

Union Gap is welllll overpriced in the 5.15 Leopardstown, its debut. 150/1 for an unraced son of Canford Cliffs whose trainer is in excellent form? Yes please

Re: Official Betting Thread
TIFL is very interesting in the 6.50 Chepstow. Always runs better on turf than the AW, is on a good mark and he won over C&D last year on a similar mark. Silvestre de Sousa is on board - a top jockey who has an extremely good strike rate at Chepstow which stands out. He has been backed in, was 14/1 but is currently trading at 8/1

Re: Official Betting Thread
The Dante Festival at York is here! Tomorrow's cards are very difficult to pick out, although the 3.30 is a comfortable NAP with Harry Angel who will win if he runs to his level.
I'm going for the following
2.20 - Contango (EW if the field remains as 8 runners)
2.55 - Gin in the Inn (win), Tomily (EW)
3.30 - Harry Angel (NAP)
4.05 - Lubinka
4.35 - Clubbable (EW)
Didn't back Harry Angel in the end, when I posted above he was 4/5 but a N/R meant he ended up being 4/9 when I got my bets on. Clubbable winning the last to save my day, got him at 14/1 but he went off at 11s

Football manager bet (non whu)
I don't often get tips only had 2 and both come off but been told Andre villa-boas will be Everton new manager odds are around 16/1. Don't take it for gold as hate to be wrong but told me about Roy hodgson a few years ago to be England manager and it happened, and pellegrini last Saturday but I been away so sorry I not posted it but seems was getting out anyway.
