The bloke is a lower league manager - why would he turn us down?HammerMan2004 wrote:Few people in the media are actually picking up how that Fonseca hasn’t actually turned us down yet. Shakhtar have offered a new deal to him but he’s told both clubs he’ll take a few days to consider the offers. Told Sullivan he’d have an answer on Thursday supposedly.

Still would have thought it sensible to keep Moyes in the bag until fonzie had actually signed a contract.

Sully is hoping to find a managerial Manuel Lanzini amongst the sea of managerial Walter Lopez, Brian Montenegro, Wellington Paulista and Jonathan Calleri's.

Because a few more good years in Europe and he'll be getting offers from bigger clubs who have money to spend, transfer policies, and whose owners don't have an obsessive need to see their mug in the paper?bubbles1966 wrote: The bloke is a lower league manager - why would he turn us down?

Or run training, not to mention who do potential new signings talk to about style of play/positions/play time/ambition.claretandblue82 wrote:In the likely event of having no manager by the time the players get back who the **** is going to manage pre-season!!
Sully has said next 10 days. I trust that as much as a trust a fart the morning after a dodgy vindaloo.

Latest Iron Mike news:
Compensation for Pellegrini has been set at £5m. He wants £160k a week.
Emery interview is today.
So it's Pellegrini for £5m, Benitez is £6m, Emery is out of work.
I expect to see a new favourite in the running.

I don't know much about Emery. Could work out either way. Coin flip.HammerMan2004 wrote:Latest Iron Mike news:

Pellegrini would be a disaster imo. It's not the right role for him. Would struggle at WHU.
Benitez, is the pick. Again we hear this 'Next Level' sh*t churned out. If Sullivan means it, appoint RB.

Did anybody get paid out by Paddy Power on him not being in charge? They aren't paying me, claiming the 'not to be in charge of his club' didn't mean not to be in charge of his club.

Emery had everything going for him at Sevilla. He was my choice pre-Bilic. He'd be a huge coup.

What was the bet exactly? Were there any clear stipulations?SammyLeeWasOffside wrote:Did anybody get paid out by Paddy Power on him not being in charge? They aren't paying me, claiming the 'not to be in charge of his club' didn't mean not to be in charge of his club.

Re: David Moyes: should he stay or should he go? [POLL]
seems odd to hound out david moyes for not being a good fit then go weak at the knees about benitez. their approach is fairly similar, albeit rafa is far better at it.
i don't much care who manages us aslong as they carry themselves with a bit of class and set out to win games by scoring more than the opposition rather than conceding less.

Re: David Moyes: should he stay or should he go? [POLL]
Not to be in charge of his club at midnight tonight was the wording on the bet. They aren't arguing the midnight thing which to be honest could be open to interpretation. They are saying
Cut and pasted from the betI do understand your frustration but a price of 7/2 being offered at 18:46:33, the time you placed your bet for David Moyes to not be in charge of West Ham at midnight( 5 hours later) is not what that market was offering.

He's like nothing we've ever had before, with an impressive CV coming in to the Club.
This chap whichever way you look at it, is next level stuff.
