Sam Matterface is one of the best commentators around, imo.

Shame they only get two minutes to talk at half time before being cut off for adverts, phone competitions and details of other programmes on ITViamakka wrote:Interesting to see ITV have a lot more International managerial and coaching experience in their lineups.

Co-commentators of Kilbane and Lawro - Paint drying or sandpaper on a chalkboard
At least this time Slav doesn’t have to worry about spending more time ****ing about with Ian Wright than scouting potential players. He can do what he wants.
Entirely predictable that ITV would copy the Beeb and get a women’s footballer on their pundit team, although to be fair I’d rather listen to Alex Scott than Kevin Kilbane, who looks and sounds like he got the job to fill the BBC’s disability quota.
Shearer is my favourite pundit purely because he’s turned into a weird miserable old dad style character where his rants veer into personal opinion as much as professional. He seems to actually hate most parts of modern football, which is funny considering his job

Whoever thought to get an ex ref on the ITV team came up with a very bright and innovative idea

Re: ITV v BBC
BT Sports did it first, and it's infuriating when the ex ref confirms the ref has got it right, normally because there was "contact", even though multiple angles make clear to any of us that have ever actually played football that it was wrong.Puff Daddy wrote:Whoever thought to get an ex ref on the ITV team came up with a very bright and innovative idea
Re: ITV v BBC
BBC for me....
Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates are leading BBC Radio 5 live’s coverage from Moscow, while Robbie Savage presents a daily World Cup Breakfast Show from 8.30am with a special guest each weekday of the tournament. (apart from this)
The BBC’s Football Correspondent, John Murray will be joined by former England International Chris Waddle, for commentary on all England matches, and Caroline Barker will provide exclusive content from inside the England team camp. Ian Dennis will accompany John for commentary duties on the World Cup final, and he’ll be with Pat Nevin for his matches until the final stage. Dion Dublin joins Conor McNamara; Chris Sutton will be working with Alistair Bruce-Ball; and Vicki Sparks will commentate with Terry Butcher.
And of course, football wouldn’t be complete on 5 Live without the 606 phone-in, giving fans the chance to share their thoughts on England’s performance on the World Stage.

Re: ITV v BBC
ITV's presenters (and some pundits) are ex BBC anyways. The Co-Commentators for both are simply......awful. So still BBC for me although ITV when Slav is on

Re: ITV v BBC
Get Gary Neville out of the studio and into the commentary box. Hoddle is a melt, I can't bear listening to the bloke.
