Yep it's going to go off big time. Can you imagine the scenes if Selby gets a disputed split decision win

Re: Boxing thread
Selby v Warrington. Good scrap this, Selby cut in the 2nd from a clash of heads. Is Selby’s timing a bit off? Selby cut again in th 6th over the other eye. Into the last two rounds, hard to call but Warrington has certainly been aggressive. Warrington wins by a split decision 113-115, 116-112, 115-113.
Re: Boxing thread
Well that was a shock, every bookies had Selby massive odds on, Frampton and every other boxer said Selby wide points win, full credit to warrington throughly deserved it, Selby is nearly as slick as hell, even called the white mayweather at points, looked like he was in treacle the whole fight, slow, cumbersome, god knows what was going on there

Re: Boxing thread
I was listening on the radio (Mike Costello might be the best commentator in all of sports) and heard split decision being announced.
Was thinking to myself if this goes for Selby people may not get out alive

Not sure where you go this info from? Selby was between 2-7 and 2-9 to win, and Warrington was top price 7-2 (and 9-2 to win on points).fmgod wrote:Well that was a shock, every bookies had Selby massive odds on

Re: Boxing thread
Absolutely gutted, Warrington, and the way he and his people conducted themselves in the build up to this fight, has been a disgrace. He did fight well, aided by the fact that Selby had to be overly cautious for most of the fight due to those cuts. The fight should never have been held at Elland Road, with all that hullabaloo, Warrington is still a massive c**t and I hope Frampton ruins him.

A cruiserweight that has lost against the one decentish opponent he faced, when he went up to Heavyweight to face Charr. Easy work for Tyson, I'm sure he'll drag it out to get the rounds in and then knock him out late on.

Apparently Jamie McDonnell has rehydrated to 143.9Ibs for the fight against Naoya Inoue today. That's almost a 26Ib weight gain from the bantamweight limit. Going to find out how legit Inoue's power is here

Wow Inoue truly is something special. First round KO of McDonnell. There will be a lot a twitchy bantamweights out there entering the super series on the back of this

Whyte is fighting Pulev in Sofia
Promoter Epic Sports & Entertainment won the purse bid on Thursday for the heavyweight world title elimination fight between Kubrat Pulev and Dillian Whyte, a surprise given that it doesn't promote either fighter.
Epic Sports & Entertainment, headed by former longtime Don King attorney John Wirt, won with a bid of $1,500,111 to easily beat two other bidders. Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn, Whyte's promoter, offered $831,111, while Pulev promoter Team Sauerland bid $801,305.
Pulev is entitled to 75 percent of the winning bid ($1,125,083.25), and Whyte will receive the remaining 25 percent ($375,027.75).
The promotional company must return signed contracts for the bout to the IBF within 15 days -- no later than June 8 -- and the fight must take place within 90 days (Aug. 24).
