#4 Portugal 3-3 Spain ~ Group B

Post by Puff Daddy »

Or Leicester City v Barcelona

Portugal, just like Leicester, enjoyed their moment in history a couple of years ago, but will they ever reach such heights again? and Spain play the Barca way, all possession and lovely football and have been able to stand up and be counted in all the major football stadiums of the world

Julen Lopetegui has been sacked as Spain manager a day after it emerged that he had agreed to take over at Real Madrid after the World Cup.

Not the best preparation for World Cup Finals to say your manager 2 days before tour first game! Reckon Spain will struggle in Russia.

Watching this in Salvador & Amanda in Covent Garden. Happy Hour Sagres during the match. The start of the World Cup proper for me

Aye, the pick of the first round of group games, this one. Would love to see Portugal win, ideally contentiously. Can't warm to Spain, dunno why. Love the country, but I don't find their style much fun to watch.

It was the last time these two met. I make you right, neither will want to lose and I too think this will be a draw. Just to be different, I'll go for 1-1, but a 2-2 would be a great evening's entertainment

Alexi Lalas to Gus Hiddink after Gus said, the Costa vs. Pepe matchup should be interesting, " Diego Costa is the Ogie Oglethorpe of soccer."

Gus answers with a blank look. Welcome to US coverage of the World Cup.

I think Jaws from Bond films is the voice asking people to stand for the national anthems on the tannoy.
