Pellers must be thinking Rice/Obiang at defensive mid then, from what I hear Seri isn't that defensively minded

Seri could definitely play there alongside a more defensively minded midfielder such as Rice. He's much better on the ball than kante but not as defensive. More like Song in his first spell for us. Would definitely help transition from defence to attack.

We have to bring more than 6 players in surely. If he's bringing in 2 central defenders then 4 of those 6 are going to be defenders and goalkeepers. That leaves 2 more. Considering that Pellegrini is an attacking manager that builds his teams around creative players, and the fact Lanzini is out for the season, I can't see us just bringing in just a couple more players in the attacking half of the pitch.

Precisely,

We have Pel Boy, Gold is Grandad, Brady is Marlene and Sully is the short arsed one of the Driscoll brothers.

:D
Thats a triffic analogy.
Hopefully a fromage frais moment for Sully

I've yet to see a striker mentioned as part of Pellegrini's transfer wishlist , if Arnautovic goes who replaces him - really hope they have a change of heart on this .

Have just stumbled across our boy Enner's WhoScored profile – genuinely a piece of art.

The longest list of weaknesses I've ever seen, and then a curious entry in the plus column.

He's must still be our 4th or 5th most expensive signing? Can't wait to see who we sign off the back of this tournament.

I know we all have our thoughts on Jack Wilshere...

This morning he posted an image on instagram which read:

"There comes a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book"

I take that as him leaving arsenal. So where next. Maybe here, who knows?

Both of those entries in the plus column are extremely suspect!

look at our current options though? Arnie, Carroll, Hernandez, Antonio, Hugil, Martinez.
Rondon has been banded about.

I thought Arnie squashed those rumours recently saying he's happy here and there has been no approach?

Also I don't think we can complain about defensive and goalkeeping signings we've needed an overhaul in that department for a while leaking goals last season was a major problem!

A fully fit Wilshere would be an asset to any team. I also suspect that there will be competition if he is available on a free. A two year deal would be mutually beneficial, and if it worked, it could be an excellent piece of business. I'm still not entirely convinced that he will leave Arsenal this summer. It seems a very uncertain situation.
