Well he’s signed on a 4-year deal so it’s fair to say we can scratch that earlier post.dixie1978 wrote:Out of contract in the summer so why a loan?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE
Sky were pushing the 'Oxford to a German club in next couple of weeks' story heavily today so I expect he will be off to Moenchengladbach at some point soon - there season doesn't start for another two weeks
Watford owners have links with a number of other European clubs, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was now loaned out for the season (or even two seasons) to one of them

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE
To put Quina into perspective, he's 18 and already at his fourth club.
He'll probably keep shuttling around until he settles somewhere abroad. Arguably should never have left Benfica at 13 to go to Chelsea.
Shame, I'm never a fan of anybody 21 and under leaving the club, but his agent seems to constantly agitate for moves and realtively high wages. Whether the player is difficult or not, or even wanted the move, who knows. But the agent has plenty of previous, as with Sterling and Berahino and, to some extent, Oxford.

According to the Daily Star (via L’Equipe). We tried to hijack Fulham’s deal for Anguissa.

Hopefully someone will make a decent offer for him. Although ironmike has been wrong about almost everything this summer!HammerMan2004 wrote:IRONMIKE has RB Leipzig in for Oxford.

To be fair. He identified months ago that Barcelona were desperate to shift players and we’re offering them to everyone including us. Low and behold three of them join Everton. Amongst a few other things he called right. In fact quite a few Everton related deals.

Sounds like a Boro still want Byram on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
So Byram, Oxford and Fernandes still to leave perhaps?

Ings joins Southampton on loan. £20m permanent deal 1st July 2019.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- CLOSED/ BUT OPEN IN EUROPE
They will struggle to field a striker come the end of the season. Ings, Austin and Gabbiadini are all quite decent players but have horrific injury issues.HammerMan2004 wrote:Ings joins Southampton on loan. £20m permanent deal 1st July 2019.

Their saving grace (a bit) is their first fixtures..
Burnley H
Everton A
Leicester H
Palace A
Brighton H
Liverpool A
couldn't have been much kinder....

A good window. Some really exciting signings.
As always, this thread has had its ups and downs.
Thanks to young student hammer for some VERY useful info, thumbs up thingy.
Shame we never got Dendonker, still, there is always next year, winky thing.
Right, lets get the season underway.
