Hucking fell. Hadn't realised. Not even against poor old Cardiff. Looks like this seasons whipping boys..James P wrote:They’re yet to score at home this season. Let’s keep that run going.
I now DEMAND an away win..

We really should be winning this game, as others have pointed out Huddersfield are yet to win this season or even score at home, lets keep both those runs going.
I’d keep the starting 11 the same, with hopefully one or two fresh faces on the bench.
If we can win this game, we’ll be in a decent position to attack the 6-7 games after City and get ourselves in the top half.

Re: ⚽ Huddersfield Town v West Ham Utd: match thread (10/11)
the goal we conceded from the corner we were half and half man to man and zonal defending...
the reason that Cresswell was not on the post (we should ALWAYS have someone there) was that he was zonal marking...can't fault him
AND Snodders was on Woods..Balbuena was zonal marking....no brainer...reverse the players...
and then again Balbuena lost Woods when he hit the outside of the crossbar..
please please please Pellers sort this out...
PLEASE !!!!!!!!!

no clue mate...goa127 wrote:Pellers doesn't put men on posts at corners. Why not?
I think I remember this correctly - I don't have a replay thingy...but I was thinking at the time "WTF ?"
I also don't know if it is every game every corner...only remember today...
but for sure Cresswell and Balbuena at least, were zonal......Cresswell couldn't be in two places at once so can't find fault....

Just reminiscing about Manu's 1st goal of 2 at The Terriers last season. Arnie winning back possession high up the field, dissecting them with lovely one touch interplay involving 4 or 5 and Lanzini passing it into the net. Our best team goal of the last season imho. His return around March time can't come soon enough. Let's get another 3 on the board before our free hit against 'Man City's superstars'.

Let 'em score.
If ever there was a game crying out for Pinky's famous "7 up front" setup, it's this. Diop and Fab Ballbag, Rice in front of them, Arnie, Chich and the returning Tarzan all at centre forward, plus Arthur, Anderson, Grady and Fat Mike. Release the chaos.
15-3 to the Mighty Irons.

This is a "must win" game for us imo.
If we win we close back up to the middle of the table bunch prior to 6 of 7 winnable games coming up. We could easily be 8th or 9th on New Years Eve!

At least we stopped Mr Zonal from scoring.............
Anyway, from memory when we played them at their place last season they were unbeaten at home.
Now this season they have not won a game at home.
We know what's coming.....

If we are lucky, we might grab a draw from the jaws of victory..respect the point and the point is we should win this one quite convincingly.

They pushed Liverpool all the way, we have to be professional and take our chance whilst stopping them.

They're a well coached side that puts in great effort.... they just don't have talent, especially in attack.Jumby wrote:They pushed Liverpool all the way, we have to be professional and take our chance whilst stopping them.
