I know mate, anybody could lead Real Madrid to one of their highest points finishes ever, win the league in premier league and a couple of cups and all. Imagine what Moyes would have done given the chance at a big club like that.Ironing Board wrote: He has managed some of the biggest clubs, but has won very little. They've played 5 at home - and have not scored a goal.Croydon wrote:Well Huddersfield ARE the only team to have not won this season... so....
The bookies will be giving money away if they let people bet against a West Ham clean sheet.

If he had been given that 100M here - we would have found out....ryanrc wrote:

Apparently we haven't scored a headed league goal yet this season. Contrast that with BFS tenure ,nearly all our goals were headers. I'm not saying headed goals are bad, just that it's an indication of how we are playing now. On the floor, long may it continue

I actually quite enjoyed the BFS era but we did used to pack the box and get Nolan, AC, Vaz Te and Carlton to cause chaos.
Not that there was anything wrong with that - there wasn't.

I think this season we will see good football with inconsistent results while MP gets his ideas fully across. Next season will be the season that we see the football he wants on a consistent basis. We have to keep faith with him.

Not sure how many years are on his contract [ I'm going to guess 3 ] but would be great if he was our Manager for the next 5 years so that he's given time and money to build West Ham United into a force to be reckoned with .Vienna wrote:He is an excellent manager, doing a very good job with a wafer thin squad. Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I thought yesterday was the best football we've played so far this season. You have to remember we've also done this without the likes of Wilshere, Yarmolenko, Lanzini etc. I think most of our home games against the bottom half of the league will be like yesterday, but at least we can be assured we have the talent and quality to break teams down.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
I've discovered one irritation I've got of Pellegrini and it's when we defend corners. I'm one of those that is a stickler for having a man on the post, yet Pellegrini persists not having any and it's led to goals already being conceded. It happened again vs Burnley for Woods goal which would have easily been cleared had there been some one already in position.
Now I've got that off my chest, I will now dream of his soft silky barnet.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
Been away for the last two weeks. Saw us lose to Spurs and the 2nd half of the Leicester game on TV in a bar.
Just watched MOTD that I taped and I must remark that the attacking ethos against Burnley, even after they came back to 2 - 2 was everything I want from a manager. I always made my feelings clear about Fat Sam, when Burnley equalised he probably would have shored things up and made sure of the point first. Under Pellegrini we seemed to take the injustice of them being equal as motivation to attack even more.
Love it.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m still really mad at him for taking that week off in Chile.
