Reading in the paper Huddersfield giving it large about being up and running now and needing to beat West Ham. If we match their commitment we'll win comfortably, but no room for complacency
Re: ⚽ Huddersfield Town v West Ham Utd: match thread (10/11)
Agree with this. I think the game will comedown to the midfield battle. If our midfield give 100% then I feel our quality will shine through & we'll pick up the 3 points. Anything less then 100% battling and we'll lose the game.goa127 wrote:Reading in the paper Huddersfield giving it large about being up and running now and needing to beat West Ham. I can see the game being pretty sloppy for the first 20 minutes, but if we fight hard & get control of the ball then we should be ok.

Fulham were truly terrible on Monday..
Offered no opposition at all.............and they still only lost by the one goal.
Credit to Huddersfield though.........they were better and deserved the win. We've got a lot more to offer than Fulham at the moment. Given a full team with Arnie and the rest fit........I think we'll win.
Would normally be happy with a point from any away fixture......not this time. We must move forward during these type of fixtures.............but I'm sure Huddersfield see an opportunity too....
Come on WeS ham.....

You pished Crossey or do you have hair in your eyes from shaving my back?
You are right though, I think.

the player for them that catches the eye is Mooy for me, always seems involved in the good things, if we put the work rate in our quality should be more than good enough to win this one. Up north, cold, dark what could go wrong?

Yep me too. Always keeps things ticking over, rarely loses the ball and can find a touch to get out of trouble when you think he has. Very underrated.waynepin wrote:the player for them that catches the eye is Mooy for me, always seems involved in the good things

Aside from having a few big blokes who are good in the air, it was difficult to see much that was greatly positive about their game on Monday.
If we score first, this could be another 3 goal+ game for Arnie, Hernandez, Anderson etc.

We need intensity and focus on a regular basis.
If we turn up in that vein we should have too much for this lot.
Snodgrass to score.

.
It'll be a very hard game from a physical point of view , bit like Burnley only Huddersfield won't be so nasty - I can see it ending up a score draw , maybe 2-2 or we'll beat them by two clear goals , a goal per half .
We seem incapable of winning two in a row so I'm pretty sure the Manager will have identified this match as one when we do just that , it's important to win games such as this to put distance between us and the bottom 5 . Five out of our next 6 matches are winnable , time to put a run together .

a hard away win if we are fully focussed and up for it. They will be after the win against Fulham. Like all teams they know we are inconsistent and will get in our faces. we are a better team for sure but you have to earn the right to play your football.
I think we will win by a few and go into the international break in a positive mindset for once. Then bring on city and have a go. I have a feeling we wont lose against them as pelle will be desperate to do well.

Driving up there and trying to work out where to park - anyone know if you can park on the street near the stadium or is it all controlled zones?
Found an area south east of the ground - Long Lane, Rawthorpe Lane - but their council website is useless and fully expect to go back to a ticket!
Thanks

there's a sports centre on Leeds road, probably a 20 minute walk to the ground
free parking last season
Leeds Rd, Huddersfield HD2 1YY
traffic is heavy on the way out so you're a way up the road and in front of a lot of it for a quicker getaway.

Last year we came in on the Wakefield Road and when we got to Huddersfield we turned right into the B road. Parking there on the left for about £5/£10 tops. Good place to park and will do so again Saturday. As you are near the main road it was easy to get out after and back home by 8.30.

There's a car wash/car park on the corner of Lincoln St & St Andrews Rd, was a fiver for the day. That's what we used last year. Phil's suggestion sounds better though tbh.west ham morgan wrote:Driving up there and trying to work out where to park - anyone know if you can park on the street near the stadium or is it all controlled zones?
