I've wracked my remaining brain cell and the only foodstuff that I can't do on taste alone is mustard.
Shell fish and tomatoes (the seeds & skin) I love but they make me swell up in awkward places and honk like a honky tonk honker.
Not keen on anything sweet but it's ok.

As for whisky, just a sniff and I'm honking yet again.

I'm in the food industry, so I'm happy to taste or try everything.

But:
Jelly Fish (Shanghai speciality) can do one - no taste at all, just gooey, slimy wrongness
Endives - tastes too much like bile
Durian - delicacy or not, end up ruminating a mixture of garlic with town gas
Aniseed - my only silly fault here, got competely bladdered on Ouzo when I was 17 in Corfu and can't face it anymore
Fennel - see above

Looking forward to having none of these of the Christmas chubbiness!

Happy Christmas to you all

Trifle. The textures of sponge and jelly mixed. Just wrong.

An American girl I used to work with referred to trifle as "jello salad" and told me it is served alongside Christmas dinner.

Most fizzy pops .... used to like them when I was younger but now, they taste yeUchh!!! I don’t know if ingredients have changed or perhaps more likely, my taste buds are changing with age. Can only drink full fat coke or Coke Zero, especially as a hangover cure!!

When I was about 14 I went on a French exchange. I hated the entire week, but worst of all was one night the family I was staying at served crab in avocado. It was the most horrific thing I have ever eaten, and being a polite lad I forced it all down.

I have never gone near either of those things again as scarred for life. Loads of women eat avocado at lunchtime and I tell them to keep well away as I regard it as food of the Devil.

Eating endless plates of that is easily my eternal hell.

Hadn't thought of avocado cos I've always avoided it for cultural reasons. Had it in salad. It's kind of slimy isn't it.

Crushed avacado, couple of rashers, crisp-fried, on crusty bread.

Mushrooms - utterly vile; I envy everyone who enjoys them but I can barely even look at them; basically mildew as food.

Cauliflowers - very pretty looking but make me retch; basically a pretentious hipster cabbage. So bad they can actually somehow ruin cheese.

Sprouts - obvious but true. But perhaps I need to re-evaluate them; don't mind them too much fried in a bubble and squeak - perhaps I've been traumatised by childhood over-boiling of them? (My parents were wonderful beyond compare but defo kids of the rationing/clean water being cut off era from East London).

Southern Comfort; what's the point???

(Retro addition; Hofmeister and Skol lager...the rationale is as above for Southern Comfort).

Pretty much eat anything, only time I get worried is when I eat in China when taken out for dinner, they eat some weird ****.

Only drink Brandy, vodka & the occasional whiskey, rest of spirits I can't stand.
