If the return wasn't too soon I would out Arnie straight into the team for the only other change. Zabaleta is a booking away from suspension and I think he'd be better off against a more defensive minded Burnely. So I'd rest him in this game and go with Antonio at right back. Especially as they have a few kick and run merchants like Redmond. I would've put Ogbonna in the team even if Balbuena was okay as for me as solid as he has been he has been the weakest of our 2 centre halves and has been poor in the last 2 games especially. I couldn't believe he got MOTM against Fulham as I thought he was very shaky in that game and put it on the plate for Watford to take the lead today. Obiang in to add a more physical presence. He improved us the moment he came on against Fulham and was the 1 player we were missing against Watford today to make it more of an even battle in midfield.

Carroll should be fit enough to start now and I would go with him and Hernandez as the front 2. With Snodgrass, Cresswell and Anderson hopefully putting good balls into the box for the pair to get on the end of. Hopefully Hernandez will actually take the chances this time!

tactically Pellers has a choice here. Playing two up front has left us stretched in midfield but is needed with arnie out. If arnie is fit does he revert to just one up? That would probably involve chico dropping to the bench, and maybe diangana coming in for antonio?

We we're ok yesterday, created plenty of chances just lacked that final push over the line, fine margins.

We will be looking to improve after losing to Watford, and will want to get back to winning ways. They have a new boss and are going through the upturn in results that comes with it. Should be a belter of a game and I would happily take a point.

A crap journey awaits our following for this one. Moved to an evening kickoff over Xmas with train strikes and no help at all from the Club. You would hope that in their meetings with fans said to be representing us (sic) that someone would put their hand up and ask about specials rather than 1001 irrelevancies.

Anyway, the coach for me with plenty of festive spirits.

Ever since our last spell in the Chumps League I’ve disliked this lot. Some of them seemed to think they were ball playing pilgrims. Now they’d be happy to scrape something from the game any old how. Hope we help relegate them personally.
