We don't support them; we support the club & the players.

That thing that A. Swallow mentioned in March about something good happening in 9 months time (December). Unless it's happening in the next two days, have I missed it already?
Perhaps he just meant Christmas..

I keep asking myself, why at 82 years of age and a net worth of £450m would David Gold continue to want the stress of running a business ? Why not move to a mansion in the sun, relax, do sod all all day and just enjoy his money? I'm not being unkind, only realistic, but its not like he has that many years left, ten at most I would think

Keep himself busy.

Also, i get the feeling he isnt that involved day to day at all. I think Sully takes charge of most things.

He isn't running anything. He earns interest from the club and turns up in his helicopter every other month to look at the training ground and see the players.

I don't get why people want to congratulate the board on Rice - signing up Rice is common sense in running a successful business - It's their job. Rice if he continues as is, is clearly going to go onto big things (injury permitting) so every contract is a gamble, but this contract today is very limited risk.

Agreed that it is great news for the club & Rice, so proper overchuffed with that

If the board laid out for free travel, pie & a pint for one away day, then yep, congratulate away.

why is Mick Jagger still on tour with the Stones ? not like he needs the money....

I wonder why this type of person (not denigrating anyone) would continue doing something they have done all their lives and could easily have retired ....

it's in their blood...they can't stop......their buzz, their drug of choice, their addiction - whatever label we want to put on it...I retired once but wasn't ready for it, went back to work for 4 years then said "Sod this....I'm off..."

get bored once in a while but love doing "nothing" - well what I mean is a commitment for something or another at a specific time and/or on a specific day........

played Pickleball this morning (3 times a week) for 3 hours on and off with a load of like minded folks, then got on my bike and went for a ride. come home cup of coffee settle down to watch the game......

smashing....some people can't do that though they have to be involved in something, some way some how..

and believe me David Gold has FAR more money than me......

I thought it would be hard for GSB to be outdone when it comes to football club ownership and twitter. I know the Fulham fan (and family) he’s responded to personally, so I’m finding it quite entertaining!

I saw a photograph of Sullivan the other day. It was one that has featured before. You may recall it, it is the one where he is standing over a guy sitting down in the hospitality suite, wearing that Russian great coat. I reckon that coat would be a jacket on most men and his trousers, Bermuda's

Been watching the mini documentary on BBC4 about Jack and the West Ham Ladies.

The bit with Jack sitting talking about money with his dad made my skin crawl. Sully Snr sat there with his tins of sweets, cake and tea cup talking to his son like he was a doing a business deal. Really odious bloke and although I don't blame his sons, they have no idea what it means to be real supporters.

Jacks new plaything isn't going so well and its clear that he hasn't a clue of how to change anything. Just like his old man.

If they weren’t publically known then i genuinely think you could show that series to people and they would expect Gervais to be the Exec producer. It’s like a tribute to the Office in a different setting.

I've recorded it, and I refuse to watch it, as I know I'll break things (likely the TV).... it will make me sick, what is likely is I can pretty much convince myself that midget number 2 will be our next owner

I'm not too well acquainted with the coaching and the tactical
Dad's working hard to teach me the financial and the practical
