Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

Performing close-up magic to our 18 month old. Her reactions were brilliant. Long, calculating look, followed by a smile and an impressed eyebrow-raise.

Was lovely to see her mind working like that. Observation, reason, deduction, delight. She’s also quieter than her older sister was at her age, which is a good sign :)

I've had a niggling cold for 3 weeks now. Never turned it anything worse, but left me very snotty, and coughing, and therefore unable to sleep and very tired. Finally over, and I was back on the squash court for the first time this morning - 90 minutes of training and matches! Knackered now, but happy and smiling.

Now, all we need is for our boys to wake up in the second half . . . .

Actually, beyond the headline, it's all rather sad.

Needed a new case/cover for my tablet, and on the off-chance popped into B&M. They had a pile of various generic ones at a decent price, so I was shuffling through deciding on which colour, when I came across one specifically for my tablet. 'Happy days', I thought, especially as it was the same price as the generic ones.
Took it to the till, they scanned it through. 'That's three pounds please.' 8-)

Our 4-year old ginger cat, Rocky, just went to the vets. Talk about slimmer of the year - he was 6Kg a year ago, and the vet made us put him on a special "diet" cat biscuits. He's now 4.8Kg, which is 20% of his body mass, and in superb health.

Still a bitey little b*stard, though, but I like that in a cat, particularly when he bites the wife, which is always highly amusing.
