Google TURBT, but not in front of the kids. Or if you're squeamish
Then you'll see why I'm not keen

Well it looks like a bigger fight than I thought. They got in my bladder only to discover that the original tumour has gone through the lining in to the muscle wall, and also discovered more of a different type of tumour in a different part if my bladder.
I'm currently still feeling the effects of anaesthesia and morphine, so it's not quite sunk in yet....

Still probably better to know, than not. Where there's life, there's hope.
And now, the fight begins..and WE are all with you, on here, at least..
All I hope is that you live long enough to see West Ham win the Premiership.
That should ensure a f**king old age...

Oh & DL, I'm sure the hospital may advise as well, get on to McMillan nurses.
They may well be able to help you to get some more money coming in, all the while your work is affected.
Good luck, mate.

DL the news could have been better but it could also have been a lot worse.
At least you know now what you are fighting and if they had not done the op they would not have found that second tumour before it might have been too late.
Thanks for coming on so soon and telling us how it went and get well soon mate we are all behind you 100%.

Hi DL....
I bet you feel absolutely knackered mate. All the motion and worry. I'm glad the initial operation is over for you. Rest and recover ...
It's not spread outside the bladder though DL ?.....into the wall you said, but it's not outside of it anywhere ?
xx

The Doctors now know what they're up against and they'll be doing their very best for you , yes , you're in a fight but at least now you stand a chance .
There are benefits you can claim - Macmillan Nurses and Citizens Advice Bureau will be able to help - not sure who you get in touch with but I think it's probably PIP - they may be able to fast track it for you , mate .
Wishing you more than luck .

DL - I'll say a prayer for you. It will give you peace at the times when you need it.

I'm not one for organised Religion but I said a little prayer for DL last night - silly I know but when you get to my age and having survived one near death experience there's no harm in hedging one's bets - the more help we get the better .prince_huggy wrote:DL - I'll say a prayer for you. Stay strong , Nick .
