Not selling him and wanting €30m is a weird position to be in.bubbles1966 wrote:Nicolò Schira

#WestHam is interested in Amadou #Diawara to replace Pedro #Obiang, but #Napoli don't sell him in January and wants at least €30M. #transfers #WHUFC

Shame if Pedro goes but if he wants regular football I don't blame him.

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
Imagine if we are actually interested in Diawara and start routinely paying £30m+ for players Could the money be starting to kick in?

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
Although it would be lovely to actually bring in the type of midfielder that we need, presumably the most likely player that any Obiang money would be spent on is Shelvey......as we’ve already approached Newcastle (allegedly) a few weeks back.

If Obiang goes, I would love and I mean love it in a Keegan sense, if we tested Marsielle for 25 for Sanson, lovely player would add so much quality, right age too. I hope we don't look domestically as no value or people suggest players who are more suited to relegation battling teams

Don’t get me wrong Bubbs - I think Diawara is more what we need, but gut feeling that we’ll go for Shelvey as the links aren’t going awaybubbles1966 wrote:Diawara seems to come from the Diop/Anderson profile.

Big worry for me selling Obiang with no replacement already. We will be in trouble if Rice or Noble pull up.

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
you forgot 2 key words in that tweet "in January". They'll sell him in the summer for 30M, but not now because they won't be able to get in a replacementHammerMan2004 wrote:

A couple of seasons ago I'd agree, but he just seems to run around now while the game happens around him imo. Not really sure what he does anymore.Crouchend_Hammer wrote:I will be extremely sad to see Obiang go

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
I like Obiang. He seems a good bloke, I like having his character in the squad, I like his mobility, he’s got a touch of pace over short distance that helps our midfield. I also like that he’s a bit adaptable. He was a great sub to bring on today to help protect that right side.
He’s also a little bit frustrating as he’s not great at anything, doesn’t seem to have a real role in midfield, just a bit of a jack of all trades, master of none thing.
I also think it’s just a little bit us, not him. I don’t see this being a league he can’t play in, there’s a lot of worse midfielders in this league.
Deserves to go with our blessing as he’s always done his bit and he’s after first team football. Rather he be replaced before being sold.

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
He was excellent against Southampton. Played well when came on v Fulham.
Also did a great job in last 10 today.
10m is ridiculously cheap for someone aged 26 who has played 120 odd games in the Premier League

Yes, we always appear to sell ridiculously low, for one reason or another, compared to what other clubs are able to generate for players leaving the club.

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
i think andre schurrle would be great in our team , not that we can sign him as hes on loan at fulham , but just think he'd fit perfectly for us
Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
He's crap, it's why he ended up at Fulham, he scores the odd wonder goal here and there but is pretty bad, looked such a bright talent in Germany and at Chelsea but has turned into a nothing player, not good enough on the wing, not good enough goal scoring rate to play up top. His career is going down and down as teams realise he actually isn't that good. Fulham fans aren't even sure if he should start for them and that is saying something.chigwells finest wrote:i think andre schurrle would be great in our team , not that we can sign him as hes on loan at fulham , but just think he'd fit perfectly for us
