Snodgrass is definitely proving Sully and his kids wrong but remember Sully said he didn't rate Shelvey? He doesn't strike me as a Pellegrini signing either.

Would love to see us go for Alassane Plea from Gladbach if we need to bring in another striker. Fast and clinic, could be a good fit to replace Arnie. Cost 25 million Euros in the summer so would have to bust the bank to get him in though,

I was banging this drum the other week, gutting we was linked with him a year ago, sort of player we should defintley be looking at it, also should be looking at Thor Hazard from Gladbach too, cracking player. Jovic is smashing in goals too. Glad we've finally got a manager and director of football that look they aren't scared to invest in players from abroad where in most cases there is better value. Then there is always Werner if we wanted to massively outlay but also he will get better offers than us, to be fair you never know it's how Eriksen ended up at Spurs as all the top clubs passed on him.

Fabrizio Romano (Di Marzio) reckons Obiang to Fiorentina is done - €10m.

If true, would be utter madness - seeing how short we are and for that price.

Why the f*** cant they ever get good value for players leaving?!

I'm amazed people don't think that's good money. He's gone backwards since we got him.

Today's 'Mail' reckon we want Callum Wilson, whilst the 'Express' says we are going to up our bid to Newcastle for Jonjo Shelvey after our initial £10 m bid was, unsurprisingly rejected

Would like Wilson, less sure about how Shelvey would fit tbh

I'm a massive fan of Wilson, my only concern is whether his bad old injury flares up again in the future. He's an explosive runner and I'd be worried it might ping again. I'd have to put my trust in our medical dept to figure that one out.

Wilson > Perez. Unsure if better than Chico

Shelvey - cover for Noble, Snodgrass and Rice on a par with Obiang.

I for one would be saddened to see Pedro go.

I've just had a mental thought when thinking about how much our midfield costs since we just got in Nasri.

Nasri - zilch
Wilshire - zilch
Rice - zilch
Noble - zilch
Sanchez - zilch
Obiang - £3m
Lanzini - £7m

And most of them are **** hot and technically gifted at what they do in the middle of the park. And it's a group that most of them wouldn't look out of place in a top 4 squad. It's a sign of. It's a sign of very shrewd recruitment. Ok, carry on..

I think that is fair value for Pedro, after all imo he does not bring a lot to the party, he is certainly not a Pellegrini Technical player either, i say sell and let Pellers bring in his own man, he will have half a season to bed in ready to hit the ground running next year!

Thankfully we'll be priced out of signing Wilson. Goal and injury record makes him worth about half the type of money he's being touted for.

The Shelvey links are so persistent that I'm starting to think there's something happening there. Puzzling one – unless we're concerned about homegrown numbers in the squad next season when the likes of Carroll, Cresswell, Antonio are at risk of being moved on.

If Callum Wilson goes to Chelsea he'll available for loan in August. Proper Chelsea signing, we should definatley be giving that one a pass, no need for us to pay a homegrown premium for an average player.

I really don't see anything in Wilson that would make anyone pay £15m let alone £50m.

Crazy Money for an average Premier League striker, that just happens to be English.

The Italians reckon we are after Diawara from Napoli, 21 years old, DM, €30m minimum.

We were rumoured to be after him years back when he was at Bologna and had the weird quiff. Might even have been Allardyce's final season? But probably Bilic's first.
