Surely that's the best time to make money from gullible idiots.
They dont really though do they?
They just pretend they do for publicity.
Its like when they pay out before the event is finished, like they apparently did a few seasons ago with Man Utd winning the league.
Their liabilities for doing this are normally far less then the amount of publicity they get for such an action.
Believe me, these people are not stupid.

Didn't the law change last year so you can get nicked for driving 1mph over speed limit?
And are you sure the WhatsApp thing is bogus?

Rule of thumb.

If it's doing the rounds on whatsapp or facey and claims to be from an "inside source" or similar and is doing a public service then it's a load of flannel.

It's common sense.

These things are normally set up so that the originator can get a load of likes or subscriptions to their page. More followers equals more money if they're setting up sponsored ads etc.

Facebook is all about companies making money these days, the times of seeing what the fit bird from school looks like now or pictures of what you mate is having for dinner is over.

There are apparently about 200 different cold virus on the go.
What would happen if you were really unlucky and got all 200 at once?
Would it feel like one massive cold, or would it kill you stone dead, also would it mean that you were now immune from all colds?

I'm surprised there's so few TBH.

You'd feel really poorly.

Doubt it; I thought that it is constantly evolving, so a new one would come along shortly.

Yes I would have thought so as well, I read online (so it must be true!) that the elderly get far less colds then the young because they have spent their entire lives getting immune from them all.
Young children often get up to 12 a year.

Don't know how accurate this woud be,

https://medicalxpress.com/news/2012-03- ... colds.html

“Anyone who has a cold develops antibodies against the wrong part of the virus, so their immune response fails to protect them. It 'misfires',” explains Rudolf Valenta, head of the research from the University Department of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research at the MedUni Vienna. This could be the reason why humans cannot become immune to colds in the same way as they do with other infectious diseases, such as measles. When someone develops another cold, the antibodies once again attack the wrong part of the virus.

Interesting, I wonder if that's unique to the cold virus.
So basically you can have exactly the same cold multiple times.
I wonder in that case, how you actually get better.

Bookmakers pay out early for the publicity, knowing full well that a lot of people they pay out to will simply gamble their winnings on something else

I actually think that quite few actually research the players that they come up with.

whether or not they are realistic is another thing.

some also post more "wants" or "would love."

I think hammerman11 just repeats the same thing at least 4 times a day picks up on a new name here and there and bangs a constant drum for players who are about the level we have and won't make us better.

Friday it was Loftus Cheek and Batsuayi
all of a sudden he mentions Diawara.
then Marega
then Gomez
then Origi Josh King

all over the place no mention of these until someone chucks a name out there.

some members have been banging on about certain players for ages. he's with whichever way the wind blows, current newspapers or some random poster suggest.

not even anything to back up as to why we should sign these players.

they're just names.

oh and of course Tammy Abrahams.
