Sir Trevor Brooking with his wife Hilkka at Gatwick tonight, he was on the same flight to Faro as me. I said hello and we had a quick chat about West Ham before I left him in peace, as you would expect from Sir Trev, he was the perfect gentleman.

I'd have got him to sign my Kindle! Wonder what he thought of the match?

Graham Poll in the Pavilion End, Watling Street. Him and his pals have an area booked so didn't want to intrude (especially because I wouldn't have been able to not make a reference to the 3 yellows debacle where he was carrying 3 pints).

Also, Vis Blackwood outside the Blind Beggar Saturday before Palace. Didn't believe my mates when they told me he was outside so went and looked. In a slightly inebriated state, I didn't realise how loudly I said "Well f*** me, it's the damn elusive sha-a-dow". He looked with the look of a man who's heard that a million times and never wanted to hear it again.

Not me, but my mate saw Mark Noble and Bobby Z eating chips on a bench on Hove seafront last week.

My mate went over and had a quick chat, said they were both really friendly and smiley. He's French, and said that Noble should have joined PSG beacuse they'd have won the Champs League by now if he had. "Never say never..." said Nobes.
