And probably not far off what they’ve taken in interest on loans in the last few years.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
yeah but they are fans who saved the club they say !
money grabbing leeches who are sucking the life out of us.
sooner they go the better. we need good owners who will buy the bowl and redevelop it firstly.
then build a team.
we have little assets to sell now as we have no home but whoever was to buy us will need to spend a lot to buy a home and a team !

So what recent event was supposed to take place which was the supposed reason for cancelling the march?

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Just losing more and more interest every day in The Club I have supported since I was 6, it is not West Ham any more and The Chuckle Brothers have not helped, there seems no strong identity any longer, so many players do not have a passion for the club, does West Ham as a name mean anything, One striker we were told it was a certain and he could have been what we needed but no they did not want to pay the salary it seems he wanted £80K weekly, but we have paid one player much more to have splinters in his backside from being on the sick bench that much! I will never lose complete interest but it seems it will never be the same again.

Someone suggested to me that it was the settlement of court cases between the club and LLDC.iLoveLasagne wrote:So what recent event was supposed to take place which was the supposed reason for cancelling the march?

The 9 months was to await the invention of teleported retractable seating powered by kryptonite thrusters.

I was hoping that we'd perhaps hear of more investment by Tripp Smith. God knows we need it with those two cock-knockers at the helm.iLoveLasagne wrote:So what recent event was supposed to take place which was the supposed reason for cancelling the march?
Alas it seems that the colour of the carpet (which has now been resolved, altough not rectified) was the biggest problem with the club in certain groups eyes.

I'm no fan of the board, but in all honesty who said ''it was a certain''.jaybs wrote: .........One striker we were told it was a certain and he could have been what we needed but no they did not want to pay the salary it seems he wanted £80K weekly, but we have paid one player much more to have splinters in his backside from being on the sick bench that much! Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
worst week for me personally...
hardly watched any other football, couldn't be arsed this morning either...
I know we have had worse performances, worst results I would guess (Hereford comes to mind immediately - wasn't it them during the coal miners strike and the game was played mid week in the afternoon ?)
but I suppose being much older (Cuenca, say it ain't so mate) there's few things now that mean as much as watching your team play - especially being so far away geographically - and I will no doubt watch on Monday as it gets closer to game time, but if I can't get a stream I honestly at the moment, it won't bother me...

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
this came up while I was posting in the Super Bowl thread...
see the Gooners guy in the stand...
Stan Kroenke is an American businessman and entrepreneur. He is the owner of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, which is the holding company of English Premier League football club Arsenal, the Los Angeles Rams of the NFL, Denver Nuggets of the NBA, Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer, Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League, and the newly formed Los Angeles Gladiators of the Overwatch League.
The Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche franchises are currently owned by his wife, Ann Walton Kroenke, to satisfy NFL ownership restrictions that forbid a team owner from owning teams in other markets.[3] Ann is the daughter of Walmart co-founder James "Bud" Walton.
He was estimated to be worth US$8.5 billion by Forbes in 2018.
and we have Abbott and Costello

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
we have no chance of competing at the next level whilst we have gsb and a rented bowl.
The price they charge for ownership must include a discounted amount as we own no ground and potentially the purchase of the bowl for 2-300m would need to be added to any figure. plus costs of rebuilding it.
I have no idea on figures but that must take the extra cost to 500m
so the scumbags sell west ham for 300m but new investors know they have to pay nearer 800m and that's before they invest in a disjointed squad say another 200m
so is it worth 1bn to have a new west ham united ? probably not, hence why we are stuck with the leeches and will never achieve much. the best support in London counts for nothing in the premier league. money talks and we don't have the financial backing.

Kroneke has never sold a single share of any sports enterprise he has owned. He's a collector.Cuenca 'ammer wrote:and we have Abbott and Costello
At least we can take comfort from the knowledge the Gold brothers and Sullivan flogged their first club.
And however much Sullivan wants to hand the club down to his son, I doubt very much he has the gonads for the task .Twenty years or so should see them gone.
I can wait.
