Re: Andy Carroll
Not selling the Geordie donkey to Chelsea in the January transfer window in 2018 was a massive, massive mistake.
I doubt he'll even score a league goal for us this season, his career has been in terminal decline the last couple of years and he's had enough chances under Pellegrini but has looked abysmal.

Re: Andy Carroll
Pellers apparently got a bit testy at the question
* & * says:
The manager said: “Andy was not considered for this game. He has some problem in his ankle, so he was not in the squad.”

After Kieran Dyer, his signing has possibly been the worse of the last 25yrs for unreliability.

Hindsight and all that.... But if ever there was a player you shouldn't have risked in training, let alone an actual match, when there is a deal in the making, it was Andy.

Re: Andy Carroll
Was this a result of playing 90mins against Man City?
Pathetic really, that he can't handle one full game.

Re: Andy Carroll
I'm really past caring now, shouldn't be anywhere near the starting XI even when "fit", so just looking forward to his contract expiring, and closing another chapter in our bad signings book

Re: Andy Carroll
The only way he can get some level of respect from Hammers is if he agrees my mutual consent to end his contract immediately - saving the club around £2.5m in wages based on the last 6 months of his contract. He can't need the money FFS. He's out "Dyered" Kieron Dyer - absolute shocker of an injury record - I'll work his stats out later in terms of appearances and goals throughout his Hammers career.
Re: Andy Carroll
Why should he mutually end his contract? We were the idiots for giving it to him, not his fault, same as Rodwell at Sunderland.MadMart wrote:The only way he can get some level of respect from Hammers is if he agrees my mutual consent to end his contract immediately - saving the club around £2.5m in wages based on the last 6 months of his contract. Re: Andy Carroll
For a guy who might realistically hang up his boots when his contract expires, why would he walk away from £2.5m? I certainly wouldn't.

Re: Andy Carroll
We spent about £45,000,000 on him in total with him trousering £28,000,000 in wages.MadMart wrote: I'll work his stats out later in terms of appearances and goals throughout his Hammers career.
That’s £450,000 a game or £1,800,000 a goal.

The one against Palace was worth every penny.

And the three against Arsenal.

Re: Andy Carroll
People should really stop comparing Keiron Dyer to him. it is really unfair on Dyer
Dyer broke his leg in an on-pitch incident that was no fault of his own then spent the next couple of years busting a gut to get fit despite very poor treatment from the club's medical staff
