Have to feel for him, but in this day an age it comes as no surprise.

He won't be out of work long.

Fair decision imo. 3 wins from past 23 matches and seems to approach games with the same tactics each time.

Good decision, needed to be done, probably should've been done at Christmas. They either now need to decide to go the Burnley route of staying up and going solid or trying to play more expansive and open but risk their league status

I know that he's had a rocky period recently but he kept that club punching above its weight and in the PL......

Crazy world of football management...

Not so sure about that. I guess if it is boring, unenterprising bland unattractive football you want, then possibly not

I get that Puff, but his record for getting teams out of the Championship speaks for itself, there will be a queue of teams in that division that would love to have him.

It’s harsh but living near the area he was losing fans due to utter negative football

I can see Brighton’s thinking. They finished 17th and only above three absolutely abject sides in Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff. On the basis that at least one of the promoted sides won’t be as bad as this year’s relegated sides Brighton are in a precarious position. They should do all they can to preserve their Premier League place and a change of manager seems a wise place to start.

Tactics that seem to work well against us every time we play them.

Harsh really, given how big a part he played in getting them to the PL and keeping them there.

In his case, he was quite literally sacked in the morning

Made some very dodgy signings of "flair" players that never show up. Consequently he had to cut his cloth accordingly.

If he was responsible for the signings, its probably justified. If not, its a bit harsh.

They were 10 without a win.....We'd be screaming blue murder if he was our manager

We would, but we have a much better squad than them so would be somewhat justified.

I like Hughton, always have, not sure what Brighton expect/want. Play better football, we know & get that, but you need those players to be able to do it.

Be interesting to see who they appoint and see what money they give them.

I am sure there will be a clamber for his signature from many clubs, hope he gets back in football quickly.

He did a load of work with local schools and charities, and seemed like a genuinely decent bloke. I hope he finds a job that suits him soon, we need more black Irish Marxists in football.

Don’t think it’s all about the results, as much as the performances

Despite going down, Colin got more football out of that lot than Hughton did at BHA this season
