David Bentley - who started his pro career at Arsenal at the beginning of the century - made his name at Blackburn before securing a £15million switch to Tottenham.

But following initial success at White Hart Lane the English international was soon left our of Harry Redknapp's side and has been in and out for the past 18 months.

West Ham moved to snap up Bentley on the final day of the 2011 summer transfer window.
