New away kit finally revealed

The official version of West Ham United's away kit has been revealed at last - to a mixed reaction from supporters on KUMB.

The kit - which, unsurprisingly looks extremely similar to the one which appeared on auction site Ebay back in May - will see the Hammers in all blue in a design not dissimilar to Wimbledon's home kit - something which has caused some concern amongst supporters on KUMB's forum.

The new shirt will be officially launched at the end of July at one of the club's family fun days. But one resourceful KUMB viewer discovered the following shot which they duly passed on to us.

The ad - which features Hammers Glen Johnson, Rufus Brevett and Michael Carrick (presumably after a bout of heavy steroid-taking) - features the new blue kit, complete with yellow piping and pinstripes.

The choice of players featured on the ad is likely to cause further consternation amongst Hammers fans; the question of why England stars David James, Joe Cole and Trevor Sinclair were not depicted has been raised; you can draw your own conclusions from that!

The design appears to be almost identical to the version which appeared on Ebay several weeks ago, and which the club - at the time - strenuously denied was anything like the 'real' version.

Not so, it would appear ...
