Dagenham & Redbridge 0 West Ham Utd XI 1

Filed: Saturday, 19th July 2003
By: Graeme Howlett

A West Ham XI got the club back to winning ways at Victoria Road this afternoon thanks to a first half strike from Greg Pearson.

Pearson's 22nd minute striker was enough to earn the young Hammers victory, against an experimental Dagenham side.

Disappointingly for the supporters who beat their way through the Dagenham festival crowds to make the game not one of the players travelling to Sweden for the forthcoming friendlies turned out, meaning that the Hammers XI consisted of mainly youth team players.
