West Ham supporters voting over the future of full-back Jon Harley are split as to whether he should be awarded a permanent contract at Upton Park.

Harley - whose short-term loan deal expires after this Saturday's visit of Coventry - will return to Fulham this weekend should he not be offered a full-time contract by the Hammers.

The poll - conducted on KUMB today - revealed that supporters remain split over the decision to take the former Chelsea defender on permanently.

At this stage voting remains split, with 40% in favour of signing Harley, 30% against, and the remainder unsure. You can add your vote - if you haven't already done so - by visiting the forum here. You will need to be a registered member to vote.

Alan Pardew, speaking about the situation earlier today revealed:

"I have to make a decision - and I will do that in the next couple of days."

* Meanwhile, as if being taken hostage in Iraq wasn't bad enough, hero Gary Teeley has been invited to Upton Park by Alan Pardew to watch this Saturday's match against Coventry.

Let's hope Mr. Teeley can inspire the Hammers to greater things than they have achieved in recent weeks ...
