Hammers striker Bobby Zamora is being strongly linked with a move to fellow Championship outfit Stoke City.

Since KUMB exclusively revealed that Zamora was set to leave Upton Park just over a week ago the former Brighton man has been linked with several Championship clubs including Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and Reading, plus Premiership newcomers Crystal Palace.

But rumours emanating from local radio in the Midlands this weekend suggest that the Potters are now hot favorites to sign a player who joined West Ham just 10 months ago.

Stoke City have refused to comment directly but a spokesman has confirmed that they are interested in an unnamed striker. Manager Tony Pulis has cash to spend after being given a £2m transfer kitty recently.

One report this morning has suggested that the deal is at an advanced stage, with the two clubs thought to be discussing the fee. This however remains unconfirmed.

More on this as it happens...
