West Ham Hogan Ephraim and James Tomkins helped get England off to a glorious start in this week's under-17's Algarve Tournament.
The two young Hammers both played as England beat France 3-1, getting their campaign off to the perfect start.England's goals came from Middlesbrough's Seb Hines, Blackburn's Joe Garner and Southampton's Theo Walcott; Lepiller notching a cosolation for the French.
Next up for John Peacock's side are the host nation later today; neither Ephraim nor Tomkins will play as Peacock looks set to rotate his squad, although they are expected to play in England's final game against Norway on Sunday; that one kicks off at 9.30am.
Highly rated centre-half Tomkins and striker Ephraim both have plenty of international experience behind them, having already played for England's under-16 side.
