Roy Carroll is set to start aganst Manchester City in this afternoon's Premiership clash - despite suffering from a broken thumb.
Carroll broke the digit during the 1-1 draw at Sunderland a fortnight ago and was subsequently withdrawn from the Northern Ireland squad that faced Wales and Austria.
But he has declared himself fit to face the Blues this afternoon - although the thumb will be protected by heavy strapping.
Carroll is likely to receive a rousing reception at the City of Manchester Stadium this afternoon from the home fans as a result of being a former Manchester United player.
The game kicks off at 4pm and is being broadacst live by Sky Sports.
