Carlos in the clear

Carlos Tevez has been cleared to play in tomorrow's vital relegation clash at Wigan following discussions between the club and the Premier League.

The club issued a statement this evening confirming that the Argentinian international will be available for both tomorrow's match and for the rest of the season.

The club said: "The actual registration of Carlos Tevez has not been called into question and he remains a West Ham United player approved by the Premier League".

Tevez's availability had been called into doubt by today's panel decision that the Premier League would be able to cancel the player's registration. This evening's announcement will therefore have come as some relief to the club prior to tomorrow's six-pointer at the JJB stadium.
