Freddie Ljungberg has been linked with a switch to Serie A after fresh reports suggested that he was being offered to clubs emerged.

Ljungberg has been linked with a move to pastures new since the end of last season, with various sources claiming that the Hammers were looking to offload the Swedish international.

Those rumours were dismissed by Ljungberg's agent Claes Elefalk last month when he called the stories 'complete nonsense', adding that 'Scott Duxbury said he was sorry such nonsense appeared in the paper.'

But that has not prevented the latest batch of rumours, emanating from Italy, linking the former Arsenal winger with a move to Serie A's Roma.

The rumours claim that United have offered Ljungberg to i Giallorossi for around £2.5 million.

He is scheduled to make his first appearance at Euro 2008 tomorrow night when the Swedes take on reigning champions Greece.
