Cole to Juve?

Carlton Cole is being linked with a move to Juventus.

Sky Sports are claiming this morning that reprsentatives of the Italian giants have contacted the Hammers with regards to making an offer for the in-form 26-year-old striker.

Juve are currently managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, who used to work with Cole when both were employed at Stamford Bridge.

La Vecchia Signora are currently second in Serie A behind league leaders Inter having beaten Fiorentina 1-0 at the weekend.

Should Cole end up playing at the Stadio delle Alpi he will be vying for a first team spot with the likes of club captain Alessandro Del Piero, French international David Trezeguet and Italian international Vincenzo Iaquinta.

Elsewhere SkySports are linking United's Calum Davenport with a move to Sunderland; the two clubs are said to be 'locked in talks' over the 26-year-old centre half who had previously agreed a £3million move to Bolton before it fell through.

''I agree - get him out, he is useless and clueless, he is just there when the ball is needed to be tapped in the back of the net!''

''And Amauri, would be very surprised if he left. The competition would be too stiff there and we really need him right now.''

''Honestly great news for Cole. He has been playing well recently and deserves to attract some attention.

However getting me slightly worried today I see we sold Mullins. Fair enough, he doesn't play. It also looks as if Davenport is off. Players that don't play but then I read what Nani said once the deal is done for Nsereko that's us done for January.

We have got a strong starting 11 but we have lost a lot of players that so we are losing our depth if we lose a few more players through injury we will be playing our under 18s next!''
