Diop waiting in the wings

Papa Bouba Diop should complete his move to West Ham within the next 24 hours.
KUMB.com reported last week how the 33-year-old Senegalese international was close to landing a contract with United, although that decision was subsequently delayed until Scott Parker's immediate future became clearer.
With Parker seemingly now on his way to Tottenham - despite no deal having been agreed between the two clubs involved by this lunchtime (Monday) - Sam Allardyce is ready to make his move by bringing in the out-of-contract Diop in order to provide additional depth to his midfield.
However if the Parker deal does go through, at least one more midfielder is likely to follow the player known as 'The Wardrobe' - whilst a number of additional targets are still being monitored as the closure of the Premier League transfer window rapidly approaches.
All in all it promises to be a very busy 48 hours for Sam Allardyce and his team; as always, we'll bring you the very latest transfer news as it happens.
