East End Babylon, the first film to be directed by Richard England (Executive Producer of recent Dr Feelgood film 'Oil City Confidential') is the story of The Cockney Rejects' rise to fame - or infamy.

Born and bred in the East End and weaned on a diet of West Ham United, the Rejects - led by brothers Mick and Jeff Geggus - shot to fame in the late 1970s as leaders of the Oi! movement (according to the music press, at least), a musical genre once described as 'the bastard offspring of punk'.

The band - most popular for their cover of West Ham anthem 'I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles' - appeared on Top of the Pops twice and released a string of studio albums before finally going their seperate ways in the mid 1980s.

However the band reformed in 1999 after several years apart and continue to tour today all over the world.
