James Tomkins has been voted Player of the Year by readers of KUMB.com.

The 23-year-old central defender wins the award for the first time, narrowly beating off the challenge of Mark Noble who finishes runner-up - with Ricardo Vaz Te grabbing third spot.

Basildon-born Tomkins - who you voted as your Young Player of the Year in 2010/11 - has enjoyed a wonderful season at the heart of the defence during which he has emerged as one of the club's most valuable assets.

Meanwhile Danny Potts followed up his recent club nomination by grabbing the KUMB.com Young Player of the Year award, supported by Henri lansbury (second place) and Robert Hall (third).
