Austria Wien v West Ham Utd: live

Filed: Saturday, 7th July 2012
By: Staff Writer

After several long weeks without any club action, the Hammers return to action this afternoon as they face Fußballklub Austria Wien in their first pre-season outing.

Sam Allardyce's side - led to day by assistant manager Neil McDonald - are all set to face the most successful Austrian club of all time at the Franz Horr Stadium here in Vienna this afternoon.

Wien - who finished fourth in last season's Austrian Bundesliga, which was won by big rivals FC Red Bull Salzburg, have won the Austrian title on no less than 23 occasions, although only twice in the last 20 years.

Additionally they have won the Austrian Cup 27 times, whilst making their mark in European competition just the once back in 1978 when they finished runners-up in the 1978 Cup Winner Cup Final, losing to Anderlecht.

Live updates from the Franz Horr Stadium will be provided throughout the afternoon on KUMB's forum match thread, which may be found here: www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=141986.

And for those supporters unable to attend the match, some sources may be streaming a live feed across the web (we'll know more nearer kick-off).

As usual, any available video - or audio - feeds will be listed in our streaming thread at www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=141602 (a number of which have been posted already).

KUMB.com will, as always, bringing you match summaries at both half time and the final whistle, with the thoughts of both managers to follow this evening/tomorrow morning and those of the opposition fans sometime tomorrow.
