Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers insist they have rejected a £9million bid from West Ham for winger Matt Jarvis.
26-year-old Jarvis, who started his career at Millwall before being released has spent the last five years at Molineux and was part of the squad relegated from the Premier League last season.
And according to local paper the Express & Star, he was the subject of the record bid from West Ham earlier this week - a figure consisting of £6million up front with a further £3million to follow depending on certain conditions being met.
Wolves paid Gillingham £600,000 for Jarvis back in 2007; ironically he made his Premier League debut against the Hammers back in 2009 following Wolves' promotion to the top flight.
Thus far he has made one appearance for England, coming on as a substitute against Ghana in a 2011 friendly.

''Not sure about this. Good player and we need a winger, but sounds a bit pricey for me. Everton have just got Pienaar for £6million. If we're gonna spend around £10million on a winger then why not Adam Johnson or take a chance on young Zaha?''
