Matt finish in sight?

West Ham are understood to have made a final attempt to land Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Matt Jarvis.
According to reports, United's latest offer equates to £7million up front with a further £3million to follow depending upon certain conditions being met.
That fee would (eventually) eclipse West Ham's existing record transfer free of £7.5million paid to Liverpool for striker Craig Bellamy back in July 2007*.
Jarvis, whose is represented by Mark Curtis - the same agent who acts on behalf of Sam Allardyce, Kevin Nolan and James Tomkins - played for the Championship club during last night's 3-1 win over Barnsley.
Wolves, who are understood to have already rejected West Ham's advances twice in recent weeks are thought likely to accept United's latest bid.
Speaking about the situation last night, manager Stale Solbakken told the press: "It's on the top political level now because every player has a valuation and if that valuation is matched I'm in the discussion.
"It's not my money so someone will make a final decision. I've had my say and the final call will be taken. We do it together and we'll do the best for Wolverhampton."
"If we lose [Sunderland-bound Steven] Fletcher and Jarvis, we have a job to do; you can’t replace them at this level. If the ideal line-up included Kightly, Fletcher and Jarvis - and it ends up without those three - we need to rebuild it, which can take time.
Meanwhile, West Ham are expected to tie up a loan deal for Rennes winger Razak Boukari imminently.
The 25-year-old, who featured in the under 21s' win over Reading on Friday evening - a game the Hammers won 3-1 and one in which the triallist scored - is reported to have completed a medical ahead of a season-long switch.
*No, we did not pay Brescia £9million for Savio - whatever Wikipedia says.

''Surely now with players wages being excessive the whole contract amounts should be taken into consideration rather than just the transfer fee? The players wages over the contract period can be far more the transfer fee paid.''
