Nastasic snubs West Ham move

West Ham have been dealt a further transfer deadline day snub after a second Manchester City player rejected a move to east London.

Having failed to secure the signature of England international Micah Richards - who opted to move to Italy in order to join Serie A side Fiorentina instead - West Ham turned their attention to Matija Nastasic, Richards' team mate at the City of Manchester Stadium.

However it is understood that the 21-year-old Serb has also rejected the opportunity to move to the Boleyn Ground on loan, preferring instead to fight for his place at City where he is currently a back-up.

West Ham are also interested in signing Michael Ciani, Lazio's 30-year-old French defender.
