West Ham United have risen one place in the all-time league table as a result of today's 3-1 win at Burnley.

Sam Allardyce's side went into today's game at Turf Moor having accrued a total of 2,478 points in the top flight of English football - that's the Premier League plus the old Division One - two points behind Wolves, who are currently playing in the Championship.

However today's win at Turf Moor - which arrived courtesy of second half goals from Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Carlton Cole - lifts West Ham one point above Wolves into 16th place, just 29 points behind Derby County in 15th spot.

Whilst that target should be easily attainable this season, you can discount the chances of West Ham rising any higher any time soon ... for above Derby are Sheffield Wednesday with a total of 2,781 points - exactly 300 points more than West Ham!
