Teddy Sheringham proves he's still got it

Teddy Sheringham was a notable absentee from West Ham's bench this afternoon as the Hammers ground out a 1-0 win at Bristol City.

That's because the attacking coach was taking part in the Fernando Ricksen tribute match at Ibrox in Glasgow - where he wowed the crowd with an audacious chip.

Picking up the ball on the edge of the penalty area, Sheringham - who was playing for the All-Stars XI against a Rangers Legends XI - noticed the opposing goalkeeper off his line before cooly lifting the ball over his hear into an empty net.

The match was arranged for the benefit of former Rangers captain Fernando Ricksen, who is suffering with motor neurone disease. You may see Steady Teddy's wonder goal for yourself below...
