LA Galaxy have confirmed that West Ham United development squad midfielder Sebastian Lletget will be joining them this summer.

Bruce Arena, Galaxy's general manager confirmed today that they were delighted to sign the young prospect, who has been at West Ham since moving from the US in 2009.

"Sebastian is a young, talented attacking player who we think can find success in our team," he said. "We’re happy to have him return to his home state to join the Galaxy and we look forward to his contributions going forward."

Lletget - who will be joining Liverpool's former England captain Gerrard at Galaxy this summer - arrived at West Ham in June 2009 after being spotted playing for Silicon Valley-based Santa Clara Sporting SC.

Having attained a European passport courtesy of his Italian-by-bith grandfather, it took Lletget four-and-a-half years before making his one and only first team appearance - in the disastrous 5-0 FA Cup defeat at Nottingham Forest back in January 2014.
