David Moyes rules out West Ham job

Real Socieded manager David Moyes has given the broadest hint yet that he is not interested in succeeding Sam Allardyce as manager of West Ham United.

The 52-year-old has been in Spain since last November, since when he has taken Real from relegation candidates to mid-table obscurity.

But speaking in an interview with Sid Lowe for the Guardian, Moyes confirmed that he is not interested in returning to England with West Ham (or anyone else, for that matter) - even with the lure of the Olympic Stadium to tempt him.

"Thereís always speculation but Iím here to do the job," Moyes said from his new home in Spain. "Iím going to be here. I want to try to get everything in place so we can be at our best for the start of next season.

"I donít think we need masses and masses but there are improvements Iíd like to make, things I want to change. Small things that will help. But Iíll be here. Iím not going anywhere."

Moyes has long been top of West Ham's wish-list to replace Allarydce, whose contract is up at the end of the season. But with the Scot having ruled himself out of the race, the club's attention is likely to turn once again to Rafa Benitez, the current Napoli boss.
