Everton fans accused of attack on innocent bystanders

A group of Everton supporters have been hailed as "absolute scum" after launching a disgraceful attack on members of the general public.

The group are being sought by Police after first launching an attack on the Millers pub in Caledonian Road, N1 before moving on to Kings Cross where they carries out their attack on supporters of Newcastle and Hull, both of whom were in the capital to watch their respective teams this afternoon.

The landlord of the Millers told a tabloid newspaper: "They just steamed in and had bottles and glasses in their hands. There were a couple of children out there but that did not seem to stop them.

"They weren't even targeting other football fans, but innocent people just passing by or standing outside drinking. These hooligans attacked anyone. They were kicking them and punching them. It was a thoroughly nasty and shocking attack."

However there was even worse to come later in the day when the Everton fans attacked supporters waiting to return home via King's Cross station.

Three people have so far been arrested as a result of the fracas. Anyone with any further information is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police. There is no evidence of Everton supporters causing trouble in or around the Boleyn Ground yesterday.
