Poyet close to loan move

Diego Poyet is close to sealing a season-long loan move to MK Dons, according to reports this morning.

The young midfielder starred in West Ham United's pre-season Europa League programme but is surplus to requirements at present, with the Hammers' campaign having ended at the hands of Astra Giurgiu last month.

And that has alerted the Championship side, who already feature former Hammers Jordan Spence and Matthew Upson in their ranks.

* In other transfer news, former Hammer Ricardo Vaz Te is set to return to the UK after being made a free agent following six months with Akhisar Belediyespor in Turkey.

Hull City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Sheffield Wednesday have all been linked with the 28-year-old forward, who is currently training with League One side Bury.
