KUMB taste success at the FBAs

It was a productive night for the Knees up Mother Brown team at last night's Football Blogging Awards.

The ceremony, which was staged in Manchester at the Hotel Football, next door to Manchester United's Old Trafford ground saw the KUMB team nominated for two awards - Best Podcast and Best Forum.

And whilst we were unlucky to be beaten to the Podcast award by The Offside Rule (judges' vote) and the Chelsea Football Podcast (fans' vote), the KUMB team were delighted to collect the fans' award for Best Forum - as you may see in the video below.

The event was hosted by Sky TV presenter and staunch Hammer Bianca Westwood, whilst celebrity guests on the night were former England internationals Stan Collymore and John Barnes - who treated the audience to a unique version of the SugarHill Gang's 'Rapper's Delight'.

Anthony Cooper, founder of the Football Blogging Awards, said: “This years’ awards have smashed our records once again, with more than twice as many votes cast as there were in 2014 and five time as many as 2013.

"The winners thoroughly deserve this recognition for the total dedication to their craft and their love of the game. We hope that the awards encourage football fans to continue blogging, or to start up new blogs, as they are the heart and soul of football."
