Manchester Utd 1-1 West Ham Utd

Diafra Sakho's first goal of the campaign- the first by any West Ham striker this season - was good enough to earn a point for Slaven Bilic's strugglers at Old Trafford this afternoon.

It took more than three months to arrive, but the Senegal international - the forgotten man, making only his second appearance of the campaign - finally found the net to register the first goal scored by West Ham's expensively-assembled front line in 2016/17.

Andy Carroll, Jonathan Calleri, Simone Zaza, Ashley Fletcher and Sakho have cost a small fortune to acquire (not to mention the £20million spent on occasional striker Andre Ayew) but prior to this afternoon, none had managed to register. With today's goal included, West Ham have still managed just 14 from their opening 13 Premier League matches.

But thanks to a solid defensive effort the Hammers were able to leave Old Trafford with a share of the spoils for the third time in succession, following the goalless draw and FA Cup quarter final stalemate last season.

Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough to ensure West Ham retained the early advantage gained just two minutes into the game when Sakho converted a fantastic delivery from Dimitri Payet.

With 21 minutes played, Man Utd's £105million man Paul Pogba's centre was cleverly converted by 'free' transfer Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with James Collins possibly at fault for losing the Swedish international.

We'll have a full match report for you soon...
