West Ham have completed the capture of England Under-19 international Nathan Holland.

18-year-old Holland, who operates as an attacking midfielder has signed a three-an-a-half year deal with West Ham, tying him to the club until summer 2020.

And Academy Director Terry Westley believes the club have pulled off a major coup by persuading the youth international to move south.

Its taken a while to get the player to us," Westley told whufc.com. "Hes someone who I saw two years ago playing for England in the same team as Reece Oxford.

Hes an England international through the ages and hes got those late developer signs which we like.

"We know hes going to mature and we are going to give him the platform, a long enough contract, to develop with us. To come here now is a big challenge, but its one I know he is looking forward to."

Holland, who originates from Wythenshawe, Manchester, moves to West Ham from Everton having spent nine years at the Merseyside club.

Last January he signed his first professional contract with the Toffees, a 12-month deal that his former club chose not to extend.

Despite being born and bred in the North West, Holland is also eligible to play for Barbados.
