Ragnveld Soma, the Norwegian defender who spent a week on trial with West Ham last year could be back in line for a shock move to Upton Park following the collapse of the Lorenzo Amoruso's deal.

Soma, the highly-rated under-21 impressed whilst on trial with the Hammers but failed to agree a move, stating at the time they he would prefer to play in Italy.

But following spells on loan with both Perugia and AC Milan Soma still finds himself without an interested club, and is currently back in Norway with current club Bryne from where he recently said:

"I am open to bids from clubs in all countries."

West Ham are yet to confirm that they are involved with a move to bring in Soma, but the chairman of his current club Bryne - Svein Bragstad - told planetfootball.com this morning:

"We are in the middle of something, but we cannot say any more."

More on this as and when it happens.
