Ex-Hammer Dylan Tombides would have celebrated his 23rd birthday today.
The former Academy star passed away in April 2014 following a long and arduous battle against testicular cancer, which he bravely fought for some three years. Today, 8 March, would have marked his 23rd birthday.

Born in 1994, Tombides joined West Ham after his family - including younger brother Taylor who also spent time at the club - moved from Australia to England in 2009 so that he may pursue a professional career.
He signed as a full-time scholar in2010 and made the first team bench for the first time against Sunderland on the final day of the 2010/11 season - eventually making his debut in the Capital One Cup meeting with Wigan in September 2012.
Dylan's father Jim and brother Taylor carry his #38 shirt to the centre circle ahead of West Ham's match with Crystal Palace in May 2014
Tombides' passing was marked by an emotional minute's applause at the meeting with Crystal Palace at the Boleyn Ground in April 2014.
